Oscar Valdes - Playwright

Self published writer - oscarvaldes.net - and blogger - oscarvaldes.medium.com.

'Rebellion Quashed, Rebellion Born,' is a story of man's endless struggle for freedom,

how every man or woman must find their voice or others will speak for us. Some years ago I wrote

and acted in the play 'Fidel Castro and the Baseball Pitcher' which was performed in Los Angeles.

I'm considering rewriting that play.

Ilia Volok - Director

Ilia is a graduate of the Moscow Art Theater school and a lifetime member of the Actors Studio.

In Hollywood, he has appeared in close to 200 films and television shows. Most recent credits include

Netflix comedy Big Mistakes, BBC's Capture; Amazon's The Terminal list; FBI:Most Wanted and

Bollywood feature film FARAAR.

James Murphy  - Cast

James Murphy is a Brooklyn based actor. This is his fourth play in NYC since moving here in 2023.

He is thrilled to be playing the roles of General Gerasimov, Kostya, and Biden in the brilliant play

Rebellion Quashed, Rebellion Born. He hopes you enjoy watching this play as much as he enjoyed being in it.

Jedidiah Dore  - Cast

Jedidiah Dore is a Queens, New York TV and Film actor represented by Prestigious Imagepowerhouse and

Eris Talent. He is also an educator, adjunct Professor at Parsons School of Design - The New School, where he

Michelle DeFranco - Cast

Michelle is excited to return to the stage after spending many years as a playwriting and drama teacher at

Hostos Lincoln Middle and High School in the Bronx. Watching kids discover theater and find their voices has

been one of the most rewarding parts of her life. Huge thanks to Oscar Valdes for this opportunity, and to her

stage and real-life partner, David Cagan, and her son Ben for being her biggest cheerleaders.

David Cagan - Cast

David is excited to be part of this wonderful production and would like to thank Oscar Valdes and the rest of

the “Rebellion” for their hard work and dedication. David recently appeared in productions of the plays October 7

and It’s Always Raining in Brooklyn. A life-long New Yorker, he can frequently be seen storming around NYC stages.

Liv Allan - Cast

Liv Allan is a NYC trained and based actress from Perth, Western Australia. She currently has four short films in

post-production and is excited to tell Yulia’s story in her return to theatre this Fall. @livallan_

Jeff Ebner  - Cast

Jeff Ebner is a Philadelphia-born actor and artist who has appeared across stage, screen, and audio countless times. He studied Drama at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is an award-winning and Audie-nominated audiobook narrator. He believes that the lives of the oppressed, wherever they reside, have their rights, freedoms, and cultures honored. @imjeffebner

Igor Malinovsky - Cast

Igor Malinovsky was born in the former USSR and immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 13. He studied theater at Pace University before earning a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Rutgers University, a discipline that continues to inform his character work and approach to storytelling. Returning to acting in 2020, he has since appeared in a range of film, television, and stage productions. Recent theater credits include both contemporary and classical plays, where he is noted for bringing authenticity, depth, and cultural nuance to his performances.

Mikael Deckelbaum - Cast

Mikael Deckelbaum is an Israeli, American, Canadian actor who studied at the William Esper Studio. Mikael has appeared on primetime shows like CBS's S.W.A.T and has played lead, and supporting roles in multiple indie features, short films and plays.
